Beth C. Wright Opens New Cancer Resource Center Way Downeast

I’m Sarah Craighead Dedmon. Welcome to Way Downeast, where I’ll share small-town stories and big conversations -- about the people, communities, struggles and successes of Washington County, Maine.

The Resource Center has events throughout the year in need of volunteers. In May there is a Walk for Life in Addison, and in September, a Bike Ride on the Blue Hill Peninsula. Additional activities come up during the year. Some of the ways you can help include becoming a leader or member of a planning committee, hanging posters, assisting with registration, checkpoints, food as well as soliciting for gifts and sponsors.
